Voice & Swallow Clinic

The Ear, Nose and Throat and Speech & Language Therapy teams at HEFT provide collaborative ‘one-stop’ clinics for patients with throat symptoms.

Flexible nasendoscopy (FNE) and transnasal oesophagoscopy (TNO) allow detailed visualisation and objective assessment of the pharynx, larynx and upper oesophagus. Fibreoptic Endoscopic Evaluation of Swallowing (FEES) allows visualization of the swallow mechanism and can assess sensation and secretion management.

The teams offer a multidisciplinary approach to deal with complex voice, throat and swallowing disorders. This streamlines the patient pathway and improves quality of care.
