On 1st April 2018, Heart of England and University Hospitals Birmingham NHS Foundation Trusts merged to become one Trust (University Hospitals Birmingham).
A comprehensive ENT service is provided for both adults and children. Outpatient ENT clinics occur at all 3 sites (Heartlands, Solihull and Good Hope hospitals) whereas the majority of operating is performed at Heartlands Hospital. The Trust has teaching hospital status.
There are 10 consultants currently covering the ENT directorate in partnership with four ENT surgeons in Walsall with whom we have a joint on-call system.
We work closely with audiology services and speech and language therapy services to provide a high quality ENT service to our local community.
